National Day 96
A girl draws her father at work, and the drawing follows him through hospitals, farms, towers and power lines — ALAT’s National Day 96 film about a nation built by the people who make it.
01 The film
It opens at a desk: a girl finishes a drawing and runs to hand it to her father before he leaves for work. The drawing is pinned inside his locker, and from there the film travels with everyone it stands for — a nurse on her round, a doctor at the window, a greenhouse, then one 13-second drone move from the farm to the city to a tower and into its elevator. Portraits, a smart home, a tablet whip into a park, the power grid and a celebration montage carry it home, where the drawing is finished: Sinaat Watan — the making of a nation.
02 The craft
- Fully AI-generated, then cleaned in the edit: the source repeated a frame about once a second, and every duplicate was taken out so the motion runs smooth.
- The father’s long take hides its cuts in black door-and-wall wipes — each beat is split on the darkest frame of its wipe, so nothing is cut mid-move.
- The fly-through is a single 13.5-second camera move: farm, horizon, city, tower, elevator.
