One Path
A typed prompt becomes the Kingdom — dunes, canyons, a galloping rider, palm groves and its people — in a scope-format National Day film for The Bold Group.
01 The film
It begins as a prompt being typed: “Imagine Saudi National Day, video, history, present, future.” The screen opens on dunes at sunset; a man looks over a canyon, the camera flies over old-town rooftops, a hand touches the rock. A rider passes a mud wall and gallops alongside the camera, a road cuts through a palm grove, and the people step into frame — a woman in a doorway, an elder, a young man by the fort. The sun breaks through the palms and the title lands over the skyline: Darbuna Wahid — our path is one.
02 The craft
- Framed for cinema at 2.42:1; here the loops and frames are letterboxed rather than cropped, so every composition stays whole.
- The file repeated one frame every second (24 converted to 25); removing it took a small hitch out of every move.
- The opening is the brief itself: the prompt types on screen and the film answers it.
